Photogrammetry 3D Capture
The ongoing project involves the utilization of Adobe Substance Sampler's newly released photogrammetry 3D capture. This innovative feature enables users to easily obtain high-quality 3D assets from photographs with a minimal setup and simple settings.

This simple home studio setup proved to be highly effective without requiring any expensive equipment. I used a product turntable, two video lights, and a black backdrop, resulting in detailed results.
You don't need a high-end camera to capture the images. I used my iPhone SE and took pictures of the object using the Adobe Lightroom app. To ensure that the program accurately identifies only the object, it is important to maintain a consistent and uniform background shape.
I took 16 captures per loop, and I had 3 loops set up at different heights. If the object being captured has reflective surfaces, it is recommended to use a polarizing lens filter.
Substance Sampler generates masks to distinguish objects from the background upon importing photos. However, if the resulting masks are not accurate, it is advisable to verify that the background is clearly distinguishable from the object.
Following that, the point clouds are presented based on the imported photos. The users have the flexibility to modify the region of interest within the bounding box.
Once the process is complete, your mesh, accompanied by a color map, is now readily available. Additional texture maps can be created by utilizing the "Texture to Image (AI Powered)" or "Channel Switch" features in Substance Sampler. Alternatively, texture maps can also be generated using other software such as Substance Painter, based on the obtained color map.
Following the export of the texture and mesh, I utilized Substance Painter to add some details and create additional texture maps. The final step involved rendering the 3D captured model in Cinema 4D.
The digitized model can be exported to other DCC tools and AR environment.
